Day 3 – Singapore Sling – Sept. 23rd 2008
Left Jakarta this morning and bid fairwell to Andi and Denny. Flew Singapore Airlines on a 777. Great airline and great airplane. Michael Lim picked me up and we took a quick tour through a shopping area and saw a couple of porche race queens exhibiting a car.
There’s a big F1 racing event in town this week. We headed over to The Long Bar at Raffles hotel to try their signature original Singapore Sling.
Great drink. Got checked in to the hotel then headed down to the cafe to meet with Cecila, Agnes, Safina and Pulavi.
They prepped me for an interview with Chew and Nazir from Asia Image magazine.
Later tonight I’m having dinner with YT Lee, SIGGRAPH Asia 2008’s conference chair and professor at NTU in Singapore.
